The Micron 9550 is the company's flagship PCIe Gen5 data center SSD, launched with the positioning of world's fastest data center SSD: up to 14 GB/s sequential read and 3.3 million random read IOPS from a vertically integrated Micron controller, DRAM, and 232-layer TLC NAND stack.

Built for AI storage pipelines, the 9550 posts leading results in GPU-direct data loading and graph neural network training while drawing less power per transfer than competing Gen5 drives. Security includes SPDM 1.2 attestation and OCP 2.0 datacenter specification support; capacities reach 30.72 TB across U.2, E1.S, and E3.S form factors.
